Adding Bespoke Functionality to your Website

Some websites need to look beautiful and offer the viewer an easy way to browse a range of products and services, and then some websites need to look simple and easy but do a range of things in the background that can enhance the customer journey and simplify back end business processes. Luckily, we love doing both.

We have recently launched several websites that feature bespoke functionality and we wanted to take a moment to chat about some of the ones we have worked on recently that we are proud of.

Food4WildBirds

https://www.food4wildbirds.co.uk/

Food4WildBirds is an incredibly popular and busy eCommerce website that sells a range of food for Wild Birds. As they receive such a large quantity of orders they needed the website to integrate with their accounting system, so when orders are placed information is transferred to the accounts system in a certain file type showing information in a particular way.

We built a system that generates these files and adds them to a folder that the remote accounting system has FTP access to, meaning that the internal processes at Food4WildBirds can operate as smoothly as possible.

First Contact Clinical

https://www.firstcontactclinical.co.uk/

First Contact Clinical has been a client of ours for 10 years. Their website allows users to book a range of training courses, however, with their latest website, they needed the booking system to do a range of bespoke functions that were very specific and individual to their needs.

The new website needed to allow users to book onto a course and confirm whether they had already attended a related course, they would then be able to instantly access pre (and post) course material. Plus, when a trainer marks an attendee as “attended”, a certificate needed to be automatically generated in several designs depending on the course attended.

We also added a wide range of custom reports and feedback forms which are sent out before the course and after a certain amount of time which asks questions on the course content as well as the delivery and scorecard reports which can be exported.

Henry Bell

https://www.henrybell.co.uk/Our-Stockists

Henry Bell are a well-established manufacturer of high-quality bird food that has been manufacturing in the UK since 1825.  They are passionate about wild birds, nature, and the environment and offer a range of products that have been specially designed to provide health and well-being to the wild birds in our gardens.

After we had launched the new website, Henry Bell wanted to add a Stockist map on their website to show all 713 of their stockists across the UK. Users can add their town, city or postcode and the map will show them their closest stockists, we branded the pins to be small birds as well to keep with the website theme.

This functionality was then rolled out across other websites that we look after in the Henry Bell family.

Over the years we have built some amazing pieces of functionality including bespoke CRMs,  Digital Archives, Workflow Functionality, Digital Memory banks for Alzheimer's patients and so much more.

If you have a project that you think needs a little bit more than a standard website, why not arrange for a cup of tea and a natter and see how we may be able to help? Just drop us an email or head to the contact page.
