Manor Farm Cafe Case Study

Manor Farm Café, located in Bellerby on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, is a well-known stop for both locals and tourists. It’s a family and pet-friendly spot, that serves as a popular place for breakfast or lunch, especially for those heading out into the Dales. The site also features a motorbike workshop, a motorcycle clothing and protection shop, and the café with merchandise available for purchase.

The Project

Ahead of their "Big Bike Night" event held at the end of September 2024 to raise money for Help For Heroes, we supported the team at Manor Farm Cafe by working on their social media content and providing graphic design services to promote the event. The goal was to raise awareness and drive attendance of the event through high-quality and consistent posts, event information, and visually engaging promotional materials that highlight the café’s offerings and the event details.

Social Media

Paul from Manor Farm Café approached us for help in promoting their upcoming “Big Bike Night” event on their current social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook. We developed a focused campaign to build excitement for the event, highlighting key aspects like the featured bands and recognising event sponsors. The strategy aimed to maximise reach and engagement within the local biking community and beyond.

Graphic Design

In addition to the social media campaign, we handled the design work for both print and digital materials. Using the café’s existing brand colours and logo, we designed eye-catching A4 posters to promote the event and social media graphic templates. These designs were tailored to be both detailed and visually appealing, ensuring a cohesive and professional look across all platforms.

Website

There was an existing Manor Farm Cafe website but it was decided to upgrade the site, and so we set about creating a new version that enabled us to better promote regular events and upload images.

The new website embraces the existing and established brand with the scope to continue to grow the site with ongoing event information and, in due course, include an online shop function to promote and sell merchandise.

Whilst the website is predominantly aimed at the biking community, owner Paul is keen to also attract the non-biking community so that Manor Farm Cafe becomes a destination for bikers and general visitors alike.

The Results

Our work with Manor Farm Café for the "Big Bike Night" boosted social media reach and engagement, driving the sale of more than 200 tickets and raising funds for Help For Heroes.

The graphic design materials aligned with the café's branding, improving promotion both online and offline. We also upgraded their website to better promote future events and support potential merchandise sales.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Manor Farm Cafe and are super happy that their event was a great success!

Paul, the owner of Manor Farm Cafe, said:

“Just like to say massive thank you to the team at Purple Creative Studio.

From Phil at the top to the girls I dealt with (Lauren). Professional throughout and knew just what I needed for my event promotion (Big Bike Night) and website creation. Even with little knowledge and input from myself, as I didn't even know what I wanted or needed myself, they created what I needed for promotion and website design perfectly. Thanks guys for the help. It's been a pleasure.

Hope to work with you all again continually in the future.”
