1.What is your New Year's resolution for 2021?
My resolution for next year is very much influenced by everything that’s happened this year - I’m hoping to appreciate the little things a lot more and stress less! I’m a really big over thinker and am always trying to plan ahead for the next thing, but this year has shown how things are often out of our control and that I should cherish the things I have, so I’d like to be more present, and ‘live in the moment’ as they say!
Last year’s resolution of moving more was certainly helped by lockdown , as it encouraged me to head out on my daily walks into the countryside and get that step count up!
2. What is your biggest achievement of 2020?
I’m really lucky to say that 2020 has been full of lots of little wins for me! One of the biggest achievements I would say has to be moving out of my family home and into my first house with my boyfriend - I remember setting this goal for 2020 at the end of 2019, but when Covid took over the world in March I was unsure we’d see it happen this year. But, in August, we got the keys to our little house together, and it’s safe to say I’m loving it! 😊
I’ve also had some smaller wins this year, like completing my apprenticeship portfolio and reaching my reading target of 20 books, but also I’m super proud of myself - and the whole team - for just getting through this toughie of a year!
3. What are you looking forward to/excited for in 2021?
As I’m sure each of us have mentioned, I’m looking forward to life hopefully getting close to normal in the coming year. I’m looking forward to the return of some of life’s simplicities that we seem to have lost this year, like heading back to work in the office, seeing friends and family and finally welcoming them in to see my new house, and maybe even jetting off on holiday at some point - fingers crossed!
4. What do you want to learn more about in 2021?
Linking to my resolution, I’d like to learn more about self-care and self-help in 2021. Very much influenced by our current book club pick - 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson - I’d like to learn more about how, by changing our behaviours habits, and thought processes we can become more productive, strategic and fulfilled human beings!
5. What 3 words would you choose to describe your 2020?
Dizzying, Eye-opening, Exciting
