May has been a super busy month for everyone at Purple as we've been working hard behind the scenes on projects with our clients. This month, the tech team have launched a couple of new sites, as well as adding additional functionality to some of our clients' already successful sites.
At the end of April, we launched a beautiful new site for RTS Photography, a local photographer who has a passion for capturing the stunning beauty of the Yorkshire Dales as well as animals and pet photography. Rachel has a keen eye for interesting details and her abstract edits make everyday objects look unusual and quirky. When Rachel approached us she had no established web presence and wanted to have a way to be found locally, she recognised the importance of having a website but wasn’t sure where to start. We delivered this website as part of a funded programme which meant that Rachel was able to get started online in these challenging times at no cost to her. As a business, we were delighted to be able to support a local startup and work with Rachel on her journey to making a name for herself in the dales. If you would like to see Rachel’s work, buy a print or perhaps commission her then head to her new website.
This month we also launched a brand new site for Gnos-tec, a network of specialists in agile training, education and consultancy. The team at Gnos-tec offer training and consultancy internationally to support organisations in applying agile practices and digital transformation effectively and strategically. Steve came to us looking for a site to offer information about the founders of Gnos-tec and showcase the services they offer. He was put in touch with us by his wife Zoe, who had previously worked with us on a huge web project as one of the primary contacts at the Dolls' Houses: Past and Present. Zoe had been so pleased with our service that she brought her husband's business to us too. It’s always so lovely to see clients come back to us and recommend our services to people! Why not check out their new website?
As well as our website launches, we've been helping some of our clients make some changes to their existing websites too, in order to prepare their business to reopen. As many businesses approach reopening, it’s important that we think about how this can be done most safely. There are a number of challenges that face business owners in their reopening, not least of which is finding a way to have customers and staff return to the business premises safely. To support businesses in their safe reopening, we are now able to implement appointment systems onto our clients' websites.
Most recently, we added an appointment system to the Bedroom Image website, in order to make their premises safer for both their team and their customers upon reopening. The online appointment system has allowed them to offer bookable slots for customers to visit the showroom, while keeping control of the flow of customers in and out of their premises, scheduling enough time to clean down any common spaces, and cutting down on staff admin. The new online appointment system now allows them to open their showrooms safely after having to close due to the pandemic, like so many other businesses. Have a look at their new booking system, and if you want to learn more about how an appointment system could be integrated into your website then please feel free to contact us!
