Over the last couple of months, we’ve been working on a new site for a very well-known organisation that provides a jam-packed weekend of entertainment for the people of Richmond and beyond. We thought it was time to give the site a refresh to really showcase the spectacle that is….Richmond Live!
Kieran was tasked with creating a site which was focused around the videos and images captured throughout the 21 years Richmond Live has now been running. Users land on the homepage to be greeted with a full screen video of previous festivals-you might even be able to spot yourself on there! The homepage also displays this years line up of acts including information on when they’ll be hitting the stage and links to find out more about the artists. We’ve also included an Instagram feed to allow users to stay up to date in the run-up to the festival with snaps of acts that will be entertaining the crowds this year and a look behind the scenes of the work it takes to ensure the festival runs smoothly.
If you’re new to the area or not heard of Richmond Live we’ve been sure to include plenty of information about the event and it’s 21 year history as it’s evolved into a permanent fixture on everyone’s calendars. Head to the sponsors page and you’ll see our logo, we’re proud to support this local weekend of entertainment-especially since Phil and Allan have taken to the main stage for the last 12 years with The Messengers. In recent years the pair have been involved with the organising of the event and we now have our own Purple Creative stage!
During the festival users of the site will even be able to see live updates about who is currently playing and who will take to the stage next! Most importantly, users can purchase tickets directly through the site via the secure payment gateway-this is something which has proved invaluable for fans of the event travelling from various parts of the country to purchase their tickets.
We love getting involved with local projects such as this and Kieran has thoroughly enjoyed creating a site which really showcases the hard work of the volunteers who work tirelessly to create the infamous event. Let us know what you think of the new site and we hope to see some of you down on The Batts for this year’s weekend of live music!
